HOW TO DO BARBELL SHRUGS

1st Steps

Get Started
  • Start with both hands firmly gripping the barbell, raise your shoulders straight upwards.

2nd Steps

Doing the Exercise
  • Raise your shoulders straight upwards.

  • Slowly return to the start position and repeat.

3rd Steps

Proper Form
  • Keep your arms, and your upper body straight as you shrug.

4th Steps

Common Mistakes
  • Dropping your chin towards your chest

  • Shrugging in a circular motion.
