One Bar Peanut Butter Cup Review

So it is no secret that One Bars are my favorite protein snack. It is also no secret that I am not the biggest fan of peanut butter flavored foods. I do however love Reese's peanut butter cups. When I seen that One Bar had a new peanut butter cup flavor coming out, I could not wait to try it. Below is my review of the One Bar Peanut Butter Cup.

First Impressions

Upon opening the package, I got an instant rush of peanut butter smells. The bar is covered in chocolate and appears to be a flatter version of a normal candy bar. Breaking the bar into half, the inside looks like a peanut putter cup!

Taste and Texture

Upon biting into this new One bar, I totally expected it to have the flavor and texture of a peanut butter cup. Well, it doesn't. Like the rest of One's bars, it was a soft, chewy protein bar with a slightly sweet strong peanut butter flavor. This is not to say it is not a really good bar, just that it is not quite like one of my favorite treats. It has hints of a peanut butter cup, but cannot replicate the real thing.

That being said, this bar also has 20 grams of protein and less than 1 gram of sugar in the entire bar. Now as far as protein bars go, it's pretty awesome. I like it better than their other peanut butter flavors and for most, I think this bar will knock their socks off.
